A Look Behind the Legal Curtain Chat Series

The A Look Behind the Legal Curtain Chat Series (“LBLC Chat Series”) will be a series of Zoom conversations with in-house counsel, outside counsel (i.e., attorneys at top law firms), government attorneys, and other legal professionals.  The goal of this program is to provide aspiring law students a look behind the legal curtain. In other words, the series will allow aspiring law students to learn (1) about the different areas of legal practice and also (2) how different practice settings and environments impact the professional and personal lives of attorneys. During the series, the UPLIFT team will primarily focus on engaging with African American-practicing attorneys (because representation matters). However, we will also engage with attorneys from other communities who have inspiring stories of triumph as it pertains to their legal journeys.

The prospective speakers include professionals who work at top corporations, law firms, and government agencies.
